Foyer Bar- Level 2 – FREE EVENT

Oscar Acebras

Friday 2 October 2009, 1pm

In this intimate solo set, the remarkable musician Oscar Acebras draws on years of musical experience from Argentina, which he loves to share with his audience through his wonderful guitar playing and rich sonorous voice. Enjoy music from this huge Latin American country – the edge of the Andes, to the Pampas of the Guachos, songs of the south, alongside the passion and tragedy of Tangos from the capital Buenos Aires.

The performance will also be relayed to The Clore Ballroom where audiences are invited to dance.

Get Moving – 10th October 2009

Time to Change’s Get Moving will be marking World Mental Health day (10 October) with ‘Get Moving and Dance’ in the beautiful surroundings of Regent’s Park from 1-4pm, and we’d like to invite you to come along. Join some of our celebrity supporters including the newly crowned world triple-jump champion Phillips Idowu, and children’s TV icon Dave Benson Phillip, in helping to end the stigma and discrimination of mental health. All you have to do is come down and enjoy dance workshops including Bollywood, Bellydancing, Michael Jackson’s moves, Capoiera and more, listen to fantastic music including Blake, meet people and have fun.

It promises to be a great day out so pencil it in your diaries, and find details at www.time-to-change.org.uk/dance. Please forward the attached flyer on to all your friends and print it out for your notice-boards.

Get Moving is a week of physical activity events across the country (3-11 October 2009) bringing people together to challenge mental health stigma and discrimination, and promoting the link between exercise and mental wellbeing. It is part of Time to Change, England’s largest ever anti-stigma campaign.

You can support Get Moving on facebook by following the link, or find out more about us at http://www.time-to-change.org.uk/what-were-doing/get-moving.

Many Thanks,
